My Health Has Changed For The Better!

I was suffering with lower abdominal pain and lower back pain as a symptom of my fibroid tumor. My conventional gynecologist OB/GYN has cost me thousands of dollars ($25,000 to be exact) trying to diminish my tumor. I came to Dr. Alff almost two months ago for treatment of a stiff neck and lower back pain, which I had for a long time. I had also had been suffering from arthritis pain in my knees.

I Was Completely Unaware Of How The Pain Was Affecting My Life

My entire right foot and part of my left foot were causing me an extreme amount of pain. Both heels affected my daily life and the more I moved around, the more pain I experienced.

I had tried a variety of different things to treat the pain, but none of it worked (splints, leg braces, steroid shots into the bottom of my feet, soft casts, hard casts, exercises, ice, prayer, special shoes, etc)

The pain had lasted for about five years and I had missed a large amount of work due to the pain.

I was truly unaware of how the limiting the pain in my heels had become until Dr. Alff and his staff came into my life. The light treatments and adjustments have completely eliminated the pain from not only my feet, but also my entire body!

Neck Pain Relief

When I first began care I had severe neck and head pain. My neck was always stiff. The stiffness had lasted for years, but the pain was incredibly severe in the four or five months before I started treatment. The pain was so bad that my arms would fall asleep. They would fall asleep at night when I was sleeping and during the day when I was driving. It got to the point where I was taking heavy-duty painkillers in order to ease the pain.

I had tried other types of treatments for my pain, but none of them ever gave me any relief. Since meeting Dr. Alff and receiving care, I have experienced unbelievable relief from my neck pain.

I Sleep, Breath And Walk Better Every Time I’m Adjusted

Before I came to Dr. Alff, I was having very bad sciatica in my back and down my legs. I have been to 2 other chiropractors before, but none of them used an Activator for my adjustments. One chiropractor had very old and out dated equipment and the other had a State of the Art office and equipment, but he still pushed, pulled and cracked till it hurt.

I always look forward to my adjustments from Dr. Alff, with no fears of being hurt. He has helped my back by getting my hip, pelvis and back in alignment. He has also helped my allergies and sinuses, so I can breath again.

My Life Has Absolutely Improved!

I was experiencing tremendous back pain in my lumbar spine. On a scale of 1 to 10, it was a +10!!! I needed help to put on my socks and shoes; I had to use a walker and a cane; And pain medications did not help me at all!

I tried treating my problem with a heat pad, icy hot balm, Tylenol, and even with codeine… but all of these only gave me temporary relief.

Now that I have been receiving Chiropractic Care at the Ventura Spinal Care Center for a while now, my pain level when I get out of bed in the morning is only a 1, 2 or 3. But after I move around a while, I have no pain thereafter!

I Would Never Have Thought That Chiropractic Adjustments Were What I Needed

Pain, Numbness And Tingling Hands

Prior to seeing Dr. Alff, I was experiencing a lot of hand pain…it was moderate to severe at a time with tingling and numbness in both hands and wrists.

My medical doctor had given me splints to wear at night and told me to take mild pain medication to help cut some of the pain. However, the splints and Aspirin only gave me temporary relief but didn’t correct the problem.

I contacted Dr. Alff after receiving a report about how he has helped other carpal tunnel sufferers.

He put me on a treatment schedule which included Activator spinal adjustments and adjustments to my hands and wrists. Along with the adjustments, he gave me Cold Laser Therapy on my hands and wrists.

I cannot believe the changes in my condition since consulting Dr. Alff. All the symptoms – the pain, numbness, tingling, and aching has been significantly reduced. I actually have feeling now in my fingers and hands! I also can grip with my hand again and my sensitivity to touch is greatly improved.

Are You Walking With Pain? She Was…

I was suffering with severe pain that prevented me from standing or walking for more than five minutes at a time.

I had tried other Chiropractors, physical therapy, and was taking a large amount of pain medications, but none of it seemed to help.

The pain at times was so bad that I had to miss a lot of work – sometimes up to three months per episode. In fact, I had missed so much work due to severe back pain over the last seven years that I was going to be fired!

After my care at the Ventura Spinal Care Center, I can now stand and walk without pain; I can clean my house; and I can go on trips with my family and enjoy my grandchildren! Not only that, but I sleep better, walk a whole lot more, go shopping on my own, and can lift and carry things, and no longer use a cane to walk.

I have a life again thanks to Dr. Alff and his staff. My life has improved 100% and I no longer live with the worry of being fired from my job!

I Hurt When I Arrive At His Office, But… I Feel Great When I Leave

I began to experience neck and upper back problems about 2 years ago because of the type of work I do.

I went to a chiropractor that always did a physical adjustment and cracked my neck. I was told I would always have these problems. I went twice a week for 8 weeks. It always hurt when I left. The pain would come back in about 2 days.

I first found out about Dr. Alff through an ad in the newspaper. I made an appointment and it’s been great!

Dr. Alff treats my whole body and is never negative. I now see him every two weeks to keep myself in tip top shape. Also, I hurt when I arrive at his office but I feel great when I leave!

Chiropractic Care Has Given Me Hope In Living Without Pain And Sickness

As a child and teenager I was always very athletic and active, until I has reconstructive knee surgery due to a basketball injury. I favored my knee for so long, my body just continued to become more and more unbalanced. I feel like I have battled to feel healthy and strong, without pain, ever since.

In college I worked hard to gain balance and strength and once again began to try different sporting activities. All was feeling right again, until I had two falls within 6 months of each other. Since no bones were broken and no stitches needed, the doctors sent me home with pain medication and no recommendation for any further treatment. For months following the falls, I had headaches, backaches and earaches. I was often sick and had constant sharp pain in my left shoulder. I finally decided to see a chiropractor, since the only other treatment offered to that point was prescription medicine. I came to find out that my jaw was out of place (which caused the earaches), my hip was not aligned properly and my cervical vertebrae had a number of problems.

My chiropractic care began in San Diego, but when I moved back to Ventura County, I wasted little time in finding a new chiropractor. I have definitely had times of little to no pain and feel like chiropractic care has a much better “big picture” of my health and life style. Taking lots of pain medication is not an option I choose and I believe that chiropractic care is a safe and effective alternative. It has helped me understand my body and possible sources of my symptoms, so I am not as frustrated when I don’t feel well. It has helped me identify my blood-sugar problems, which I manage through my diet. Chiropractic care has given me hope in living without pain and sickness.

I continue to be very active and accident prone, which is why I still visit Dr. Alff for adjustments and maintenance. I work hard to eat well and exercise to stay healthy, and I find that chiropractic care adds the extra balance my body needs.

Since I Have Been Treated By Dr. Alff I Have Not Taken Any Pain Medication

I had been suffering with low back pain for over fifteen years. I tried many different over the counter medications with little relief. I was reaching the point of taking narcotics, which I definitely did not want to do.

My primary care provider told me I would just have to live with it. Even physical therapy did not help.

Since I have been treated by Dr. Alff I have not taken any pain medication and I am 85% better but we still have a little more to do before we reach 100%.

Dr. Alff has an exceptional staff and I would recommend him to anyone who has problems.

Thank You For Not Allowing Me To Suffer Any Longer

My husband was the person that told me about Dr. Alff. He had been seeing Dr. Alff and he had great results almost immediately after his treatments began.

Prior to seeing Dr. Alff, I had been experiencing constant neck pain that had lasted for nearly five whole years, most of which was from playing volleyball, diving into the sand incorrectly, and giving myself whiplash.

Before hearing about Dr. Alff, I had refused to go to any chiropractor because I thought that they would tell me that the only solution to my problems was to have surgery. Well, I was wrong!

Chiropractic has helped so much! I sleep well at nights now and don’t have the constant pain during the daytime that I used to have. I even walk better now!

He Went Out Of His Way To Give Me The Care I Needed

My job as a C.N.A. (Certified Nurses Assistant) keeps me on my feet most of the day. After ten years of this type of work I was fortunate to meet Dr. Alff at the Ventura County Fair in 1994.

My neck, back, and shoulders were out due to a motorcycle injury that happened in 1970. I was in constant pain until I met Dr. Alff and his staff and got regular adjustments.

My job includes lifting patients, straining to turn them in bed, a lot of walking, and just being on my feet. After twenty years “Restless Leg Syndrome” became a problem. After telling the Doctor of this he went out of his way to give me the care I needed to relieve that problem too.

A Well-Known Neurologist Told Me, “You Don’t Need Me! Keep With Chiropractic!”

Once upon a time, I was completely skeptical about chiropractic care.

In 1988 however, I suffered from a severe, but short-term paralytic seizure in my lower back. I’ve been taking advantage of chiropractic care since then.

About a year and a half ago my daily wails to the Ventura Beach Promenade were halted due to pains in my legs, which “stopped me in my tracks.” I didn’t want just to cover the pain with medication, so I consulted with Dr. Alff.

Dr. Alff said I was a good candidate for the DRX9000. Again, the old skepticism was back, but I gave it a try. About half way into my treatments, I had experienced no discernible improvement. A gradual lessening of the pain occurred around the 20th to the 23rd treatment, so I completed treatment on the 25th visit.

During this time I saw a well-known neurologist in Ventura who told me, “You don’t need me. Keep up with chiropractic.”

To this day I walk pain free and continue with my chiropractic adjustments and the Vivatek.

Obviously, my skepticism has also been cured.

I Feel Like Going Back To The Orthopedic And Telling Him How Wrong He Was

In December a year ago I started having pain in my wrist area. It got progressively worse, I kept thinking it would heal. It did not. Two months later I went to the medical doctor and he said it was just arthritis. A month later I went back to him. The pain was so severe. I could tell it was inflamed by feeling the heat in it. He sent me to a Physical Therapist. She said I had Tendonitis. Through the treatment she managed to reduce the inflammation and help somewhat with the pain. She also had me wear a stiff brace, which immobilized the wrist in order for it to heal.

I could only receive 5 treatments through my insurance. She suggested I go to the orthopedic doctor, which I did. He said the only way to get total relief was through surgery. He said that the tendons had to be separated and stretched to let them return to normal. Now I had been suffering with 7 months of pain. I could not have the surgery until November due to heavy commitments that would not allow me to not use my wrist. So I said I would return in November. I took a lot of Motrin and used my wrist brace to do the commitments and wait until I could have the surgery in November.

Somewhere during the time waiting I received a letter from Dr. Alff describing the symptoms I was having and how he could relieve the suffering I was going through. I thought, “Why not give it a try?” I knew chiropractic work had helped me in the past with other problems. I was a little skeptical about helping my wrist though.

After the first treatment, which was decided it was not tendons, rather it was my thumb that was out of alignment, I got relief. The first time in almost a year. It was not total recovery but relief. I have now had several adjustments and I am almost pain free. When it does hurt it is very minor, and does not last for very long. I think that is due to too much computer work.

I will not have to have the surgery and I feel like going back to the Orthopedic and telling him how wrong he was. The side benefits have been that my whole body feels better due to having alignments done by Dr. Alff. I no longer have to rely on pain medication and have not had to wear the wristband.

Pain While Driving Your Car

I contacted Dr. Alff at the Ventura Spinal Care Center because of my back and leg pain. I had pain all the time – solid pain. I couldn’t go to bed at night because that really hurt. When I would lay down, it was worse! Then, I couldn’t stand for more than 5 minutes. I couldn’t walk to the mailbox and it’s not that far! I couldn’t stand to make dinner. I would pop something in the microwave and then have to sit down and then get back up again to eat it.

My primary doctor sent me for a couple of shots in my groin and leg. They helped for a bit, but it didn’t last. Then I tried Pro lo therapy; which is something like acupuncture only they inject sugar water into the vertebras. It is supposed to aerate as your blood rushes to the area to heal it. I had 2 sessions and I was feeling fairly decent. Then after the 3rd shot, it hurt and I was back to square one. Then I decided to try spinal decompression.

Since I have been through the treatment for non-surgical spinal decompression, I walk much better, can stand for longer and my leg feels better! There are many times now when I don’t feel any back pain at all! If I do have a little back pain, it is not near as bad as before.

It had gotten where I couldn’t drive my car because it hurt when I would put my foot on the brake. Now I have no problem driving. That’s definitely a benefit that spinal decompression brought me.

I would rate the quality of care at the Ventura Spinal Care Center to be a 10!

Chiropractic Care With No Side Effects

Dr. Alff diagnosed a weakness in my immune system due to elevated levels of mercury that was manifesting itself as my hip discomfort. In addition to my regular chiropractic treatments, Dr. Alff offered a combination of several food supplements and simple exercises. I took the supplements for approximately three months – lessening the amounts as his retesting indicated throughout the course of treatment – until I was released from them completely. As is sometimes the case with healthy, “Non-traditional” methods, the results were not immediate. I needed to be patient, but after a few weeks I noted some improvement and my progress was steady…WITH NO SIDE EFFECTS! I continue with my regular chiropractic visits, but have had no relapse of symptoms.

A New Lease On Life

After Only Two Weeks… I Could Walk!

I wanted to say a few words about the “vibrating, pulsing, rolling” machine that Dr. Alff put me on. Dr. Alff tells me it is called Vivatek, a non-invasive disc rehabilitation therapy table.

Whatever it is called, I’ve had tremendous gains from the therapy I’ve gotten on this machine. I injured my back about three weeks ago and at that time I was pretty nervous about some of my symptoms. Right after my injury I developed “drop foot,” I guess you could call it. What it means is that I could not lift my right foot from a standing position. That meant that when I walked, my right foot would simply “flop” on the ground as I walked. I looked like a permanently disabled person!!!

And if that weren’t enough, I had irritating pains going down my legs (both) to the point where it was hard to sleep sometimes. I had other symptoms and discomforts and debilitations.

After about two weeks (about 6 treatments) of Activator spinal adjustments combined with the Vivatek therapy, I began to notice I COULD WALK!!!…normally! And the shooting pains stopped and I’ve felt great ever since!!! It has been incredible.

I’ve gone into such detail here because I didn’t want anyone reading this to “gloss over” what has really happened to me and how that machine and Dr. Alff and his practice has changed my life. Thank you so much!
